About Tubidy

The idea

Finding a song should take seconds, not clicks through menus. Tubidy keeps it that way: one search box, one ranking and one page per song with the video and the converter side by side.

On the front page

• A ranking of 100 songs that people are playing right now, each with its daily stream count.
• Top Searches, a long row of titles other visitors are after at the moment.
• Recently Viewed, which appears on its own once you have opened a few songs and goes away if you clear your cookies.

On a song page

You get the video, the converter for MP3 or MP4, a link to share the song and two lists of other songs to try next.

How we build the ranking

A daily job collects public streaming statistics, picks the songs sung in English and finds each one's official video on YouTube. A song that falls out of the ranking keeps its page and its address.

Independence

Tubidy stands alone: no streaming platform, no YouTube or Google, and no artist, label or publisher is behind it or has approved it. All music, names, videos and logos shown belong to their legitimate owners.
